All I can think about today was my arrival into Seattle 13 years ago. I remember my first view, checking into the YMCA and sneaking Quincy up the elevator, getting my truck up a hill without hitting the car behind me, where I ate, and my first job. How does anyone leave Seattle? The rain, the clouds, the water, the people, the movies... it's my kinda city! Emotions are high, but the we're ready to go. Sydney and Grace have their health certificates to travel, I mailed a few boxes, and the condo is clean.
Yesterday, I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with Ann and Mary. This morning a had breakfast with Anita and Jim. Leaving here knowing that our world's greatest neighbors are watching over our place is a piece of mind that money could not buy!!
Lots of dreams to fullfill and goals to achieve as Drew and I embark on a little sojourn. We'll be back, of course, because the Concord is waiting!!
More blogging when I arrive on the east coast, which will be in the early am. I am flying in shorts because the heat is high. I don't plan on wearing pants for the entire summer. OK maybe when I apply for teaching positions or attend Independence Air soirees!
